RANDOM WEAVE BASKETRY with Polly Pollock

180.00

DATES: 19th and 20th September
TIME:  10.00-4.30
VENUE:  Isfield, near Lewes, East Sussex

ABOUT THIS DAY:

Random Weave basketry very likely has its roots in Japanese Ikebana baskets.  It is an interesting, versatile, and relatively simple basketry technique to learn, and can be worked with a variety of materials.

On this two day course you will learn the essentials of Random Weave techniques, to make two small “baskets”, or if you prefer, more abstract forms.

You will learn how to adapt these techniques to working with two very different materials, as well as learning a couple of weave variations which produce different end results and varied textures.

NB : Between the two days there will be a small amount of preparation needed to be ready for the 2nd day, but this should only take about 30mins, and you will be given full instructions and materials for doing this.

INCLUDED IN THE PRICE:
2 days full-time tuition
All materials for the course
Delicious homemade lunches in Annemarie and Tom’s home
Tea, coffee and biscuits throughout each day
