I've just arrived home from an exciting couple of days launching the MAKING LEWES festival. Cogs, wheels, wimbles, hay, rope walks, motorised sofas, cake and lots of conversation.
Collaborative Collisions involved a two day project with Tom McWalter (Wood), Jonathan Swan(Jewellery) and Mike Pattison(Mechanisms). Together we transformed a large bale of hay into a rope bridge, with the help of around 50 participants of all ages.
I love working with other makers, sharing ideas, perhaps looking at materials from a different point of view, and ultimately getting stuck in to some making. More please.
